Exelixis Access Services (EASE) is a personalized support program that offers a full range of services designed to support healthcare providers and patients who are prescribed Cabometyx (cabozantinib) or Cometriq (cabozantinib).

Cabometyx is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of patients with advanced renal-cell carcinoma who have received antiangiogenic therapy. Cometriq is indicated for the treatment of patients with progressive, metastatic medullary thyroid cancer (Table).

The EASE program provides financial, access, and reimbursement support. EASE offers 3 programs for financial support to qualified patients based on the patient’s current health insurance status.

Co-pay Assistance Program

This program is available for commercially insured patients. With this program, qualified patients will have out-of-pocket costs for Cabometyx or for Cometriq of no more than $10 monthly.

Patient Assistance Program

For patients who are underinsured or uninsured, this program provides Exelixis medications free of charge.

Quick Start Program

This program allows new patients who are prescribed Cabometyx to receive the drug for free when the prescription approval is delayed by more than 5 days. Eligible patients will receive a 15-day supply of Cabometyx while coverage is being determined, and a 60-day supply (3 refills) if the delay persists.

Co-pay Assistance Program

To be eligible for this program, patients must have commercial health insurance and be prescribed Cabometyx or Cometriq for an approved indication.

Patient Assistance Program

The Patient Assistance Program offers Cabometyx or Cometriq for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.

Quick Start Program

Patients who are facing prescription approval delays for Cabometyx for more than 5 days are eligible to receive the drug for free for 15 days while coverage is being determined; if the delay persists, they may be eligible for a 60-day supply.

Application & Enrollment

The enrollment process for the EASE program is drug-specific. The application for the Cabometyx EASE program requires completion of the EASE Enrollment and Patient Authorization forms, available at https://hcp.cabometyx.com/downloads/CABOMETYXEASEEnrollmentForm.pdf. Distribution of Exelixis Medications

Other Services

The EASE program provides additional services for Cabometyx and for Cometriq.

Alternate Funding Investigation offers alternative means of financial support for patients who do not qualify for the copay and patient assistance programs.

Access and Reimbursement Support provides assistance for dedicated support specialists who help healthcare professionals with regard to benefit investigations, prior authorizations, appeals, and delivery coordination.
