American Regent IV Iron Patient Assistance Program

American Regent offers comprehensive reimbursement services and patient support to providers and patients. American Regent’s IV Iron Patient Assistance Program facilitates access to Injectafer (ferric carboxymaltose injection) for patients who are prescribed the treatment but are unable to afford it because of a lack of insurance coverage (Table).

Injectafer is an iron replacement therapy indicated for the treatment of anemia caused by iron deficiency in adult patients who cannot tolerate oral iron therapy or those who have an inadequate response to oral iron therapy, as well as for adult patients with chronic kidney disease not caused by dialysis.

Injectafer provides up to 1500 mg of iron with 2 administrations.


IV Iron Patient Assistance Program

For patients enrolled in the program, American Regent will replace Injectafer free of charge. To qualify for enrollment in the IV Iron Patient Assistance Program, patients must:

  • Have no health insurance
  • Be ineligible for public insurance or financing
  • Be a citizen, legal entrant, or permanent resident of the United States; proof of citizenship or legal residency may be required
  • Meet income requirements and other criteria.

Application & Enrollment

IV Iron Patient Assistance Program

Providers, including hospitals, physicians, or infusion centers, may apply to the program on behalf of their patients. To enroll in the American Regent IV Iron Patient Assistance Program, the patient and the provider must complete the Enrollment Application, available at

The completed form must be faxed to 240-632-3805, or mailed to the address on the form. Other documents, including income documentation or proof of residency, may be required.

After being accepted into the program, providers can submit the Product Request Form (available at to the fax number or mailing address on the form so that the patient can receive the replacement product.

  • Billing and coding assistance
  • Appeal denied claims or inadequate reimbursement
